Our new home....

DisneyDayByDay has existed for awhile now on the blogspot website.   We have recently moved to our own site at www.disneydaybyday.com, with a whole new look.   A huge thanks goes out to my brother Shane for putting together our header bar!!!!  Outstanding work, I hope you all like it as much as we do.   Please update your favorites to now point to our new site at www.disneydaybyday.com

The new waiting area for Dumbo

    We just returned from a week and a half at the world with lots to share, so stay tuned.   For now enjoy this video on the new Dumbo area to open soon, no long will you have to wait in line.   The kids can play and you will be paged when it's your time to enter the line and fly with Dumbo!

Details on the “There is no free lunch, free lunch” giveaway from DisneyDaybyDay

•          On May 30, May 31, June 1, June 2, June 3, June 4 the DisneyDayByDay family will be in the parks at Walt Disney World.    Each morning (or the night before) we will tweet out and post onto our facebook site where we will be and what we will be wearing.    If you are the first to find us in the parks then you will win a fabulous prize (if a $15 Disney gift card is in your fabulous category)  
•         When someone has won the prize for the day we will tweet out that it has been won and who won it.   We encourage the winner to also let the Disney World know where they found us and what they have won.  
•     Now here is your chance for the home viewers.   If no one finds us during the day then the prize goes to you.   Yes you our loyal viewers!  We will randomly select someone who has either liked/shared our facebook posts during the day or re-tweeted out any of our tweets throughout the day.  
•     Odds are based on the number of people who play along with the game.

The Magic, The Memories, and You! Summer Show Starts May 25 At The Magic Kingdom

 It's time for the summer show of The Magic, The Memories, and You, and from the concept art released the other day looks like the castle will be one big sandcastle. The new show will begin May 25th at both Disneyland and Disney World.

Happy 25th Anniversary Disney Store

   Today marked the 25th Anniversary of the Disney Store.  The first Disney Store opened in Glendale, California on March 28th 1987.   The store has gone through a lot in 25 years including format changes and being sold to the Children's Place in 2004 just to be purchased back in 2008.   I can remember our first Disney store that featured moving characters and great merchandise.   


As the store celebrated this over the past month there were many activities including Trivia Games, Dance Parties, and Stickermania all leading up to today and the 25th Celebration.   At each of the stores today 250 Silver Mickey Ears (pictured) were given away.   


  Many other 25th Anniversary items were also available to purchase and can be found on the Disney Store site.  The 25th Vinylmation is also included in my picture.   Thanks goes to my wife who stood in line today and surprised me with these items.   Her experience is captured in the picture and video below.
